NYC Craft Beer Festival: May 28-30th

A little late, bit this past weekend, Hand Craft Tasting Co. hosted the NYC Craft Beer Festival at Pier 15. General admissions was $55/person and VIP was up to $85/person. There was over 50 vendors and you had a choice of 2 beers from each.

I attended the Saturday general admission session and the weather was just gorgeous! It was sunny, warm, and there was a strong cool wind by the pier. It was the perfect day to be out. At the festival, each person got a free glass with the festival's logo. It's pretty well-made.

There was so much beer to consume! A lot of pale ales to boot. There were also stouts, unfiltered ales, ciders, and hard lemonades. The most interesting one I tried was coconut beer. I hated it, but it might be to other people's taste. At each table, the brand reps would fill up your glass before you waddle off to the next table.

8.5% alcohol content with this one. Smuttlabs... I love the name. XD
There was also food! You could get savory pies, tacos, giant pretzels, jerky, as well as bacon jam. I ended up getting jerky, including kangaroo jerky. :D

It came off as more of a spicy jerky. Interesting since we don't usually have them here!
Bacon jam o_o
The crowd:

Would I do it again? Most likely. The atmosphere was great and they had a good variety of music blasting. I had a fun time trying out the beers and chatting with the reps there. The price is a little steep, but if you have some money to spare, I would recommend checking it out next year. :)
