Welcome to my first post!
So, after debating for a while, I decided to take the plunge and start up a blog. It’s been something that I wanted to do, but I never felt that I was committed enough. Blogging takes a lot of time and work, especially if you want to focus on specific topics. There are also so many blogs out there dedicated to a variety of interests – from beauty, fashion, games, movies, music, travel, hobbies, etc. But hey – the more the merrier, they say. And who knows – I might talk about something that does not have as much coverage as it deserves! At the moment, I’m unsure which direction I want my blog to go, so I’ll be touching on a little of everything. In that sense, this will be starting off as a lifestyle blog. Hopefully I can have category tabs on this blog to have everything neat and organized.
Let me introduce myself then!
Born and raised in NYC, I’m a young woman who loves adventure and trying new things. With so many things to do in this city, you can find me walking in one of the many street festivals, checking out new restaurants and cuisines, and most of all shopping! I love to hike and play volleyball, as well as settling down with a good movie or book. I’m a pretty casual PC gamer, playing games ranging from Sims4 to D3. On top of that, I like to draw. I might post some artworks here every now and then; I’m by far no professional though lol.
On the web, I go by two pseudonyms: Nunchi & Ashlya. I’ve used “Nunchi” (pronounced noon-chi) since 2004 and it is actually a Korean word to describe “the subtle art and ability to listen and gauge others' moods.” I initially chose it because I saw it on a Korean stationary and it looked… “cute” haha. Its use as a pseudonym has since exploded on the net, so “Ashlya” (pronounced Aaash-lah) is my alternative, which I have been using more of lately. Depending on how you find this blog, you might recognize one of the names.
Hopefully I won’t bore too many people with my posts. I intend to make this blog interesting to the readers! And hey – this will be like therapy on my end. Therapy by talking to a screen.
In the wise words of Jason Steele, “We're going on an adventure, Charlie!”
